Case Study 8: Rip Joint Failure

A typical joint failure had arisen on a busy roundabout in Perth, Scotland (1). Viafix was hand-applied to the wet defect and compacted to finish by traffic (2). The time in the carriageway was under 2 minutes (12th Feb 2009). The intact repair (3) was examined and photographed three years later (23rd Feb 2012) with no sign of failure (4).
